Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
One of a series of physical, biological, chemical and geological oceanography cruises to study the Norwegian Sea and North Sea: Conditions of cascading dense water (slope convection) and its sediment transport capacity. Shelf derived deep water formation evidenced by sediment accumulation on the continental slope and chemical/biological tracers in the water.
