Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

The objective of the cruise was to study air-sea exchange of climatically relevant biogases (DMS, CO2) along transects that over the large-scale gradients between continental shelf and open ocean. Additionally, water samples along vertival profiles within the upper 200m were taken at fixed stations for analysis of trace organic constituents that may form substrates for biogas generation. The overall goal is to quantify the flux of climatically active biogases from a shelf environment to the atm.
