Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The Beam Trawl Survey provides a fishery independent estimate of the most abundant year classes of sole and plaice in the North Sea, which is used in stock assessment. Length- and agecomposition of various flatfish species is sampled. Data are collected on fishfauna and macro-zoobenthos in general. Data on lenght-composition and sex-ratio of edible crab are collected. Fish and macrobenthos is sampled in some areas north of Texel and Vlieland, which are in the future possible closed for fishery.
