Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:

Benthic boundary layer studies in the Mecklenburg Bight. This is an area of high deposition. The aim is to understand and evaluate the flux of ecological relevant substances like DOC, nutrients and trace elements. There are two transects- one in the inner and one in the outer area of the bight. Each transect consits on four stations with different sediment types. Furthe we want to study biodeposition, resuspensicn and bioentrainment and the flux of particulate matter caused by these events.
