Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The GOBEX cruise had three main objectives: 1. to observe the subinertial response pattern of the Gotland Basin to wind and buoyancy forcing. 2. to observe the carbon cycle and to estimate the carbon budget in the Gotland Basin. 3. to mea- sure the distribution of particulate and dissolved trace metals in the Gotland Basin after the water column has become free of H2S.
