Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Study of the general mechanisms of the Northeast water Polynya and its ecosystem. Generation mechanisms of the Polynya, physical investigations of water mo- vement, heat flux, density profiles. Biological and chemical investigations: carbon dioxide flux. Geological investigations: sedimentation, bottom water. Observations of ice coverage.
