Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The major objective of the cruise was to recover and re-deploy sediment trap mooring systems in the Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. The moorings consist of two to three sediment traps which collected sinking particles at depths between 700m and 3000m and had been deployed in December 1992/January 1993.
