Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Quantification of tidal induced transports of nutrients, particulate matter and organisms between the Wadden Sea and the open North Sea. Is the Wadden Sea a source or a sink for those components? The ship was moored for about a fortnight in two deep tidal channels near the island of Sylt. Samplings were carried out in rela- tion to the tidal cycle.
