Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The measurements are components of the experiments ARKTIS and GSP (Greenland Sea Project), which are conducted since 1988 under the umbrella of the Artic Ocean Sciences Board in a close co-operation between the AWI for Polar and Marine Research and a longer term research programme (Sonderforschungsbereich 318, processes relevant to climate) at the University of Hamburg.
