Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
One of a series of biogeochemical oceanography cruises to study element cycles in the Northwest Mediterranean. A) Measurements of trace element and nutrient concentrations in the in-and outflowing waters trough the Straits of Sicily and Gibraltar in order to calculate fluxes for balancing W-Med inventory. B) Study of biogeochemical processes within one water mass in the Alboran Sea.
