Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
Cruise m21-6 was dedicated to the seasonal study plankton and deep sea benthic processes at the 20?-West monitoring stations of the projects: BIO-C-FLUX ( Biological carbon transport in the deep sea benthic boundary layer) JGOFS (Joint Global Ocean Flux Study). The stations have been previously investigated on METEOR 21 legs 1, 2 and 3. The cruise started at Reykjavik (Iceland) and led to the Iceland Basin station (ca. 60?N / 20?W). The next station visited was BIOTRANS (47? 30'N / 20?W). m21-6 ended in Hamburg (Germany)
