Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The original intention of this cruise was to penetrate summer pack-ice of the SW-Weddell Sea to study Ant. bottom water formation,ecology of summer pack-ice,plankton of marginal ice zone,benthos in a permanently sea-ice covered area and also sediments and topography of the SW-Weddell Sea.
