Ziel der Reise / Objectives of Cruise:
The following objectives were pursued: -to obtain integral estimates of heat and dynamic state of the North European basin; -to conduct ocean climate monitoring; -to study a structure of fields and eddy dynamics in the vicinity of Faeroes-Shetland Strait and the polygon 'Anticyclonic Eddy' in relation to the exchange between the Atlantic and Polar waters; -to obtain data for studying a structure and peculiarities of the dynamics of the polar frontal zone on attainable space-time scales.
